I CAN'T WAIT TO SEND MY DAUGHTER TO COLLEGE!

*If you don't know what Masturbation is, it is when you kill baby kittens.
Just check out this ad below!

San Marcos, CA- A friend of mine took this photo today on her college campus. This is a great example of why I've lost faith in college education. My friend who took this picture is on their way to acheive a great education that will be credited by a 9 1/2" x 11" document, made from expensive stationary, printed with metallic ink. But other than this person, it is so difficult for me to salute those who journey off to a college or university because of crap like this.

Do you have kids? Do you want them to go off to college? Well, this is nothing compared to the abundant non-sense they'll experience. <--- (I'm sure you can tell that I went easy with that last sentence.)
If you do send your little girl off to CSUSM, it's nice to know that she'll have the option to learn how to be a DJ.

Sure, this masturbation class isn't a prerequisite for Oceanography. But it is truly sad that this event would be held within a learning institution that should be founded on true Wisdom. But nobody cares about "Wisdom" with a capital W.

Look. This is the real world. There's not going to be a bunch of cute, college hotties, sitting around in tank tops and Victoria Secret booty shorts giggling and busting out in pillow fights. This is probably led by some woman who is fat and is blaming men that she is still single. Of course only women are invited to this thing. Any woman who would run a class like this doesn't understand real relationships or how to make them work. I'm sure she's a liberal who watches and listens to way to much Public Radio and Public Television, and TiVo's EVERYTHING on the W.E. Network and Lifetime. Sitting around watching porn and looking at a bunch of un-Purell-ed sex toys is NOT what "women of higher learning" should be doing.

But what do I know. I'm not in college and nor do I ever want to damage my brain with it's slanderous filth. I'm a stupid person who can't pass Math at any university (sadly, I've been to five college universities so far). Heck, the last time I ever passed Math was when I took Geometry in high school.

I'll never forget Mrs. Avilez. She looked exactly like actress Roselyn Sanches. She had this thick Spanish accent and was a total fox and a half. I loved it when the teaching staff wore blue jeans on Fridays. OF COURSE I went to tutoring! She was my first too: the first Math teacher that could make long division fun. Giggity.

What was I talking about?

Oh yeah,

CSUSM: What do you think about this Masturbation class?

I believe that attending college is the best thing that any person can ever do for themselves. It broadens your mind to other ways of thinking that are different than your own. I'm graduating from CSUSM this May and am proud of my accomplishments and the wonderful opportunities that I have had at this university.

Having said that, although I think the advertisement is a little crass, and could have been handled more tastefully, I believe that there is always more to the story and we should not be so quick to judge and make speculations about something like this. I think it is horrible to assume that the only kind of person who would put on this class would be a fat woman who hates men and is single. I think that you have created a stereotype of women instead of taking an opportunity to find out more information about it from the Women Resource Group which is putting this on. I personally do not feel that this kind of class is necessary for myself, but that doesn't mean that it is not beneficial for someone else. Perhaps a woman is not in a relationship and chooses to masturbate instead of having sex with men. Perhaps, a woman has a partner but had contracted an STD or or has cervical cancer and is uncomfortable about having sex with their partner. Perhaps a class like this would be beneficial for some woman in teaching her about how her body works by getting her involved with education from other women instead of exploring it herself with a man.

I think that before we make accusations and assumptions about things it is always beneficial to do your research and inquire about what a class like this means to the women putting it on and the women who might be attending.

Also, I would speculate that a class like this might draw perhaps 10-20 women. In an institution where over 60% of the student population is female, it is uneducated to think that because a few people might attend this seminar, we should write off the entire population of "women of higher learning."

There are so many things that happen on college campuses that students do not agree with. The whole point about receiving an education, however, is having the opportunity to discuss issues from an educated standpoint after having done research on the subject instead of making false accusation based on emotions.

This is an issue of free speech; women who are interested in expressing themselves in this fashion by learning more about their bodies.

As far as you saying "I can't wait to send my daughter to college," the same can be said about sending your daughter into the real world. Universities are only microcosms of society. If you do your job right as a parent, it won't matter what your daughter encounters, as she will have the moral compass to make decisions about what she feels is right and wrong in society and then act accordingly.

I believe "Wisdom" with a capital "W" is very important in society and lacking. However, "Wisdom" teaches us to tackle situations with education, understanding, love, compassion and forgiveness. Not through making matters worse with stereotypes and hateful messages.
