Aging action star Van Damme, 49, still wants a pro fight

By:Steve Cofield

Jean Claude Van Damme could whip anybody. Throw in one caveat -- on the silver screen. Now the 49-year-old Belgian star of dozens of action films wants to show he can do it for real.

Repeating what he said in September, Van Damme is trying to land a professional kickboxing match against former Olympian Somluck Kamsing in Macau as the capper to a proposed reality show. During a press conference in Ukraine (VIDEO), Van Damme explained his motivation.

"[It's] dangerous but life is short," said Van Damme. "I want to prove to young people and even to mature people that a man can go into some very strong physical effort and training, and also be a movie star."

The fight was originally slated for a March K-1 event in Las Vegas. As Cagewriter told you at the time, the fight had zero chance of coming off in Nevada:

Kamsing, 35, was the 1996 Olympic Gold medalist in boxing at 126 pounds. He also fought in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, losing to Rocky Juarez and Benoit Gaudet, respectively ... we'll rain on the parade with a reality check, the Nevada State Athletic Commission would never approve a fight with the [49-year-old] Jean Claude facing a former Olympian.

We nailed it. Van Damme (pictured with UFC fighter Michael Bisping) got word that the fight could not go down in the U.S. as many states have strict guidelines for fighters over 35.

Randy Couture, 46, will fight 45-year-old Mark Coleman next week in Las Vegas in the main event of UFC 109. Along with 37-year-old Frank Trigg and 35-year-old Matt Serra, Couture and Coleman had to go in front of the NSAC to undergo neurological testing and gain approval to fight. Vam Damme has zero professional fights. The four UFC fighters have a combined 93 pro fights and were still scrutinized before they were given their licenses. The only "real" fight we know of for Van Damme was a rumored scrap against fellow action star Chuck Zito.

For Van Damme, fighting a former Olympian is a brave thing to attempt, but let's hope it's closer to a reality show fight than one where he may get injured badly.

Glenn Beck does "Green" Math

Legion- Now Playing!

by: THRILL

Well, I saw Legion. The trailers had me curious.

Interesting concept: The movie is about God losing faith in mankind and sending His angels to earth to destroy humans. Yet, the angel "Michael", falls to earth, cuts his wings off, and rebels against God by trying to protect one group of people from being slain by angel-possessed humans.

I didn't like this movie because of how it made God look like an @$$hole. History is endless with how many times God has tried to convince humans how much love and hope He has for us. Plus, historic documentation, such as Genesis chapter 9, sections 8 through 17, explain how God will not whipe out mankind due to our decline into evilness. But whatever, it was just a movie, right?

Still, I despised the underlining theme that the movie preached to society: that God is bad, and being unGodly is the correct way for a person to live their life. Yeah, there are a few scenes in the movie where the character Michael (Paul Bettany) does deliver righteous dialogue. Some lines felt convicting, or atleast gave the philosophers in the audience something to chew on. In the movie, Bob Hanson (Dennis Quaid) says, "I don't even believe in God." Then, Michael (Bettany) replies, "Well, He doesn't believe in you either."

It would be horrifying to think about what life would be like if God got tired of our bull$#!+. But the gracious part is: God is not human. Our God is a loving God and has abundant patience. As despicable as we've become, He remains patient in waiting for us to choose to love Him. Sadly, with all the blessings in life we receive from God, many of us will still choose to disrespect, hate, and deny Him.

In the film, there is no mention of anything evil. No demons, no satan, nothing. Interesting. However, the "first wave" of angels that came to earth in this film seemed more like demons, especially with the possessed characteristics. If you haven't seen the film, I'm sure you've seen the previews with the evil looking grandma.

Sure it bothered me that the movie made God look like a douche, but it also hurt that the movie (like so many other Hollywood made motion pictures) portrayed "Jesus Freaks" as being unrighteously judgemental. One character in the movie gets picked on by "an angel-possessed" grandma for being pregnant without having a husband. The character retorts the phrase "Jesus Freak", as if it is common for "Jesus Freaks" to pass unrighteous judgement on people.

I did like how the two main angels in the movie, Michael and Gabriel (Kevin Durand), where portrayed as very masculine and warrior like. Though they didn't get into it, there were minuscule hints of the technology in Heaven. The heavenly technology, mainly Gabriel's hand-held mace, and all the man-made assault rifles that Michael dual-wielded made the film's action sequences very cool.

For me, the movie started off blasphemous, turned awesome, felt convicting, then ended gay.

If you have to choose between going to see this movie or the other one, choose the other one. I should have NetFlixed this. If for some reason I do end up owning this insult, it will collect dust next to Dawn of the Dead and The Parent Trap.

No sex scenes.
No sexual references.
Violence, people getting shot, dying.
Lots of guns.
Adult Language.

If Your Password Is "123456", Just Make It HackMe

by Ashlee Vance

Back at the dawn of the Web, the most popular account password was "12345."

Today, it's one digit longer but hardly safer: "123456."

Despite all the reports of Internet security breaches over the years, including the recent attacks on Google's e-mail service, many people have reacted to the break-ins with a shrug.

According to a new analysis, one out of five Web users still decides to leave the digital equivalent of a key under the doormat: they choose a simple, easily guessed password like "abc123," "iloveyou" or even "password" to protect their data.

"I guess it's just a genetic flaw in humans," said Amichai Shulman, the chief technology officer at Imperva, which makes software for blocking hackers. "We've been following the same patterns since the 1990s."

Mr. Shulman and his company examined a list of 32 million passwords that an unknown hacker stole last month from RockYou, a company that makes software for users of social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. The list was briefly posted on the Web, and hackers and security researchers downloaded it. (RockYou, which had already been widely criticized for lax privacy practices, has advised its customers to change their passwords, as the hacker gained information about their e-mail accounts as well.)

The trove provided an unusually detailed window into computer users' password habits. Typically, only government agencies like the F.B.I. or the National Security Agency have had access to such a large password list.

"This was the mother lode," said Matt Weir, a doctoral candidate in the e-crimes and investigation technology lab at Florida State University, where researchers are also examining the data.

Imperva found that nearly 1 percent of the 32 million people it studied had used "123456" as a password. The second-most-popular password was "12345." Others in the top 20 included "qwerty," "abc123" and "princess."

More disturbing, said Mr. Shulman, was that about 20 percent of people on the RockYou list picked from the same, relatively small pool of 5,000 passwords.

That suggests that hackers could easily break into many accounts just by trying the most common passwords. Because of the prevalence of fast computers and speedy networks, hackers can fire off thousands of password guesses per minute.

"We tend to think of password guessing as a very time-consuming attack in which I take each account and try a large number of name-and-password combinations," Mr. Shulman said. "The reality is that you can be very effective by choosing a small number of common passwords."

Some Web sites try to thwart the attackers by freezing an account for a certain period of time if too many incorrect passwords are typed. But experts say that the hackers simply learn to trick the system, by making guesses at an acceptable rate, for instance.

To improve security, some Web sites are forcing users to mix letters, numbers and even symbols in their passwords. Others, like Twitter, prevent people from picking common passwords.

Still, researchers say, social networking and entertainment Web sites often try to make life simpler for their users and are reluctant to put too many controls in place.

Even commercial sites like eBay must weigh the consequences of freezing accounts, since a hacker could, say, try to win an auction by freezing the accounts of other bidders.

Overusing simple passwords is not a new phenomenon. A similar survey examined computer passwords used in the mid-1990s and found that the most popular ones at that time were "12345," "abc123" and "password."

Why do so many people continue to choose easy-to-guess passwords, despite so many warnings about the risks?

Security experts suggest that we are simply overwhelmed by the sheer number of things we have to remember in this digital age.

"Nowadays, we have to keep probably 10 times as many passwords in our head as we did 10 years ago," said Jeff Moss, who founded a popular hacking conference and is now on the Homeland Security Advisory Council. "Voice mail passwords, A.T.M. PINs and Internet passwords — it's so hard to keep track of."

In the idealized world championed by security specialists, people would have different passwords for every Web site they visit and store them in their head or, if absolutely necessary, on a piece of paper.

But bowing to the reality of our overcrowded brains, the experts suggest that everyone choose at least two different passwords — a complex one for Web sites were security is vital, such as banks and e-mail, and a simpler one for places where the stakes are lower, such as social networking and entertainment sites.

Mr. Moss relies on passwords at least 12 characters long, figuring that those make him a more difficult target than the millions of people who choose five- and six-character passwords.

"It's like the joke where the hikers run into a bear in the forest, and the hiker that survives is the one who outruns his buddy," Mr. Moss said. "You just want to run that bit faster."

Repudiation Of The Criminal Obama

By: Steven Travers

A Complaint of Tyranny and Impiety

"O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O god, to whom vengeance shew thyself.
Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth; render a reward to the proud. Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph? How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? They break in pieces thy people, O Lord, and afflict thine heritage." -Psalm 94:1-5

January 20, 2010 marks the one-year anniversary of the criminal Obama's Presidency. January 19 marked further repudiation of all he stands for. It started at the All-Star Game in St. Louis, when half the fans booed the Acorn Man. It continued in November when Republican Chris Christie roundly won the Governorship of New Jersey and Republican Bob McDonnell wiped the floor with the Democrats in Virginia; both after Dumbo made personal appearances on behalf of his chosen minions.

On Tuesday Republican Scott Brown defeated Democrat Martha Coakley for “Ted Kennedy's Senate seat” in the “Boston Massacre,” winning by six points. What we are seeing is a conservative revolution. It is an astounding event. In 1994 the Republicans pulled off a similar political tsunami. This will make 1994 look like a mere blip on the radar screen. The Democrat Party may not survive what is about to occur.

First and foremost we are seeing what will be, by the end of 2010, the complete and total American:

- Repudiation of the incompetent “Ears” Obama.
- Repudiation of the immoral Kennedys.
- Repudiation of the impeached Clintons.
- Repudiation of the hooligans Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid.
- Repudiation of the illegal ACORN, the “black hand” of the Nazi-collaborating George Soros, the absurdity of MoveOn.org, the lies of Michael Moore, and the stupidity of Code Pink.
- Repudiation of the militant politics of Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers, “black liberation theology,” and the legacy of the 1960s counter-culture.
- Repudiation of the unpatriotic works of Hollywood, the “lame stream” media, the “blame America first” crowd now indoctrinating our young from grade school to graduate school, and the unimpressives who make up the Left.
- Repudiation of the “global warming” mythologists and the socialized health care ram rodders.
- Repudiation of the displaced Communists who, since the fall of the Berlin Wall, have found a home in the international Left and made Acorn Man their poster child.
- Repudiation of Socialism in America!

A year ago, many worried that the criminal Obama was the anti-Christ. Biblical scholars generally conclude that such a creature is merely a malevolent spirit, and that the concept of Satan coming to fruition as a political or military leader is more a Hollywood construct. Brother Harold Camping is a Biblical scholar operating on a worldwide network called Family Radio. He says Christ will return on May 21, 2011, but offers no worry that our President is the Dark Prince.

For one thing, one might surmise that Satan would be a helluva lot smarter than the bumbling, stumbling Dumbo man with his stilted phrases, his incoherent speech in a lame attempt to “help” Coakley, and his unimpressive arguments on behalf of most everything he advocates.

In Massachussetts, Coakley trailed Brown by four points. Obama showed up and made a speech for her. Immediately afterward she trailed by seven en route to desultoriness. The “Obama effect” was the same in New Jersey and Virginia. It was not unlike previous efforts by Bill Clinton to “help” candidates who lost four or five points courtesy of his appearances on their “behalf,” or the infamous John Kerry. He trailed by a couple points before the 2004 Democrat National Convention. After America got a closer look at what the creatures of the Left were, they decided they should trail by five.

For Obama, as with other Democrat “heroes,” it has come down to an almost mathematical formula, and it works like this.
One observes Obama.
One sees what he does.
One thinks about it.
One uses his God-given common sense in analyzing what he sees.
Therefore, consequently, and as a result thereof, the fact that Obama and the Democrats are loathsome and atrocious simply emanates itself as manifest truth, knowledge of which is possessed by millions and millions of patriotic American citizens. Nobody needs to argue it, spin it or try to make anybody understand it. It simply exists as self-evident fact, which of course is always the best kind. (To put it more succinctly, to know Obama is to despise him.)

Bill Ayers is the unrepentant terrorist who tried to bomb the Pentagon, kill police officers, and was rewarded by the Left with university tenure. He is Dumbo's close friend. He hosted his political debut, served on boards with him, and is rumored to have ghostwritten his autobiography. He served the Dumbellionite Obama in his ascendancy as closely as Karl Rove was the architect of George W. Bush's early career in Texas, but Obama somehow thinks he can persuade us that, like Christ's apostles on the day of the crucifixion, “I do not know that man.” Except the Acorn man does it in that dumb sing-song voice of his: “He's a guuuuuyyy who lives in my neighborhood,” which is like the Kennedys saying their bootlegging, Nazi-sympathizing father, “Old Man Joe” was “Just, uh, a guy who, uh, lives, uh, in the neighborhood.”

Of course Obama “heard no evil” for 20 years while his pastor was telling a raucous, approving black crowd consisting of his and Ayers' Chicago neighbors that America is not blessed, but rather damned by Almighty God. One supposes Obama's most convincing argument that he disagreed with Reverend Wright might be that he does not believe an actual God exists to damn America, and attended the church as an act of political survival. It's the “Chicago Way.” As for his wife, America ending slavery on Earth or defeating the greatest armies ever assembled in two world wars are not to be admired. Only her husband's anointing is.

Dumbo still has a dwindling group of supporters in the media. They call him articulate. Who are they fooling? Hearing the ignoramuses call Obama “articulate” is a joke. He is neither articulate nor particularly smart. Bill Clinton was both. He rescued his Presidency by working with Republicans after the 1994 GOP sweeps. He adopted Republican economic policies and, as if by statistical formula, the economy revived. The guess hear is that Obama and his hard Left fellow travelers are too stubborn, proud and yes, too stupid to learn this lesson. They will go down with their ship, and the Democrat Party may well sink into oblivion forever. This seems incredible to imagine, but movements do happen that fast. The 1960s are over, baby!

Meanwhile, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is called “dumb.” One listens to her speak of a “fallen world,” of man's true relationship with God, and why the Founding Fathers favored limited government because they recognized the inherent corruption of men's souls, and one hears articulation so far and above the yap-yap-yap of the “man” who never stops talking, or getting face time on TV, or showing up at every soiree in which he can honor himself; well, Palin runs circles around Acorn Man six days of the week and twice on Sunday. We are led to believe that the Ivy League elites are so much better educated, yet has anyone noticed that one can attend Harvard and graduate hardly without attending class these days? Everything is on-line there and most everyplace else.

So the angry conservative Right is making a lot of noise, on Fox News, on talk radio, and at the “Tea Parties.” After what the Democrats did to President Bush for eight years, they should simply lack eligibility to complain about ANYTHING! The only thing they should have a right to do after their years of foul lies and perfidy is to SIT THERE AND TAKE IT. To say nothing! It is only the common decency that marks conservative people that prevents them from repeating the foul epithets that the Left vomited upon the public square for years.

Of course this does not stop them from besmirching the “tea baggers” with disgusting comments that more resemble their own “tea bagging,” which in Leftist circles is not a love of the Constitution, but love for a homosexual act too abominable to describe, that they apparently are far too intimately knowledgeable about.

The hooligan Pelosi says the “tea baggers” are not a “grass roots” movement, but rather “Astro turf.” Yeah, sure it is. Just like Hillary Clinton's “vast Right-wing conspiracy” consisted of millions of patriotic American citizens who had the temerity to register and vote Republican! Call it what you will - “tea baggers” or “vast Right-wing conspiracy” - but this enormous “silent majority” of the American citizenry is about to shock the world.

On the heels of the New Jersey and Virginia Governor's elections, and the Massachusetts Senate victory, these people are at the very beginning of a campaign season that will see the following:

- Harry “the war is lost” Reid's swift deportation to a southern Nevada strip mine town.
- The hooligan Boxer's swift deportation to a Sausalito hippy commune.
- The Republican's taking control of the House and Senate, and
- The criminal Obama's swift 2012 deportation to the neighborhood he shares with Bill Ayers, perhaps a job as “community organizer” of a Chicago thug group, or maybe a vacation to Mecca.

Remember New York Congressional District 23? Somehow, after losing enormous statewide elections in two pivotal races, the Democrats wanted you to believe the fiction that “winning” a tiny district bordering Canada was the news of the November elections. Here is the real news. That district will hold another election in November, and the conservative Dan Huffman will win the Republican primary and then beat Bill Owens.

Boxer's old Congressional seat is in liberal Marin County. It is as safe a Democrat seat as there is, but guess what? The Republicans are about to unveil an actual great candidate, and in this climate, he may win. The anti-American Lynn Woolsey will at least have to defend her territory, and this will be part of the nationwide story come November. It will be one of the most enjoyable, energizing political years in Republican history, and it will presage an even better one in 2012.

And another thing . . . Obama's old Illinois Senate seat, sold by Democrat Governor Rod Blagojevich, and never actually “won” by Obama (he used an illegal court ruling to steal it from Jack Ryan in 2004), will be in Republican hands come November. In other words, the quintessential repudiation of a man and his thug politics, known as the “Chicago way” in his so-called “home” state.

Who could possibly have predicted one year ago that the criminal Obama would be the greatest gift the Republican Party has had bestowed upon it in many a year? Who could have foreseen that the death of the immoral swimming champion Kennedy would be the death knell of his most cherished policy, health care? All of this is happening without any true Republican or even conservative leaders yet emerging. The Left will place forth the lie that this means the Right is rudderless. In truth it is the Left's worst nightmare, since the conservative ascendancy depends not on a single man, not on any “cult of personality,” but on the rising tide of an electrified populace. As anybody who knows anything about history understands, nothing on the face of this Earth is more unstoppable.

Oh, the delicious irony of it all. To watch former Vice-President Richard Cheney disseminating the truth about Obama's dithering, his failures and incompetency, each barb smacking the Democrats who blasted him for so long like, like . . . like “tea bags” across their wimpy faces.

Or to see Karl Rove exact revenge on his detractors every day with words of truth and wisdom in the Wall Street Journal and on Fox News. Or to see Governor Palin elevated to “rock star” status, her book selling in such extraordinary numbers as to be beyond mere phenomenon.

The daily exposition of criminality on the part of the ACLU, ACORN and the corrupt Democrat machines, the history of which goes back to the Confederacy, Tammany Hall, Kansas City's Pendergast machine, Clinton's Arkansas “mafia,” Jim Crow, and the total destruction of virtually every urban center in America, brings the widest possible smiles to the faces of honest Republicans from coast-to-coast.

At the heart of this ascendancy has been a conservative media that simply wins in the great marketplace of ideas. Fox News ate up the ratings like a hungry lion. They featured conservatives like Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck, day-by-day dismantling the Obama myth. The “lame stream” media that makes up the New York Times, the Washington Post, Time, the now-defunct Newsweek, and news programs on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, and MSNBC, all watched and read by nobody, not to mention the zero-ratings Air America; all these outlets of venom and incompetence are failing in one way or another. They want you to believe it is because of the Obama economy, or the Internet, but these business factors do not have an effect on successful operations like the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times, Human Events, the Weekly Standard and Newsmax. Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and a host of lesser lights simply wallow in their own rhetorical feces.

Michael Moore makes two hours of celluloid garbage and the Left wants to trumpet it as a widespread and “compelling.” It finished behind Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. The first moment many Republicans knew George W. Bush would win in 2004 was when they saw Fahrenheit 9/11. The day after that victory was attained in record numbers a billboard went up on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, depicting Moore and the other Hollywood unimpressives. It thanked them for their “help” in delivering victory to Bush and his party.

None of this stopped Hollywood from making lying movies like In the Valley of Elah, Rendition and Lions For Lambs. None did business, but movies with a Christian, conservative message, like The Blind Side and Gran Torino, did. So did the patriotic Charlie Wilson's War. Finally they made an Iraq War movie that, while not pro-Bush, was at least fair and realistic. The Hurt Locker, unlike the liberal trash, did well.

The conservatives behind radio microphones are simply having a field day destroying Obama. Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, G. Gordon Liddy and a host of others are at the apex of their power and influence. Amazingly, the only time listeners actually hear the things said by the Dumbellionites of MSNBC, CNN and the like are when Limbaugh or Hannity replay their stupidities on their shows. It is almost a kind of free advertising.

Again, a year ago it all looked so hopeless, but like Winston Churchill in the darkest days of the Battle of Britain, a book emerged to begin shedding light on the Obama White House. Michelle Malkin's Culture of Corruption was an enormous best seller. Ayn Rand's 1957 novel Atlas Shrugged hit the bestseller lists, too. It described a bleak economic landscape that readers immediately identified as Obamaland. Deep, deep down the corrupters of the White House saw this and began to squirm just a little bit.

A time-line of Acorn Man's first year shows a drip-drip of downward spiraling movement, inexorably leading to a tipping point that, incredibly and to their shock and dismay, most likely will not be reversed.

- On January 20, 2009, “Ears” was inaugurated. It was more like an anointing, a religious event. He was utterly popular, the Republicans completely beaten, and conservativism declared to be dead. Stories of his “muscularity” (despite his skinny little body) and the “work out regimen” that produced wife Michelle's “sinewy arms” were breathlessly written. (Remember those stupid cartoons caricaturing Bush with huge ears? That is actually what the goofy-lookin' Obama looks like in real life.)
- Obama then ordered Gitmo to be shut down and terrorists captured on the battlefield to be read Miranda rights. His Homeland Security chief called terrorism a “man made disaster.”
- In February he signed a bill that socialized the economy and nationalized some of our most precious industries. President Bush deserves plenty of blame for starting us down this road, but where Bush went five percent along this path, Obama went 90 percent further into the oblivion of debt and Socialism. Obama inherited a normal cyclical recession and, by his own hand and on purpose, turned it into the “worst economy since the Great Depression.” Why? Because it was his ticket to the power of Washington bureaucracy.
- Obama engaged in a full throttle attack on capitalism, Wall Street, banking and success. Why? Because in his view America is a racist, immoral nation, our success built on the backs of the dispossessed and the poor. In his view, every dollar earned by a capitalist is a dollar stolen from the poor. American success and righteousness are of no good purpose to Obama's Democrats.
- Obama introduced “cap 'n' trade” and “card gate.” The first was an attempt to impose insane volumes of taxes upon business, mostly small business. The costs of course are passed on to the consumers. The second initiative was designed to see to it that a majority of working people belong to unions that supported Obama and the Democrats whether the workers liked it or not. Both were un-Constututional.
- On February 27 the fakir Obama announced his “cut 'n' run' policy from Iraq.
- A troubling rumor began to gain momentum; that Obama was not eligible for the Presidency because he had not been born in the U.S. Much so-called “evidence” that he was born in Honolulu surfaced, including a newspaper clipping that may or may not have been real, but none of it was compelling. Certainly no Hawaii birth certificate emerged, even though anybody born in Kapiolani Hospital can obtain one by requesting it in writing and receiving it a couple weeks later. Somehow Obama could not do this act. His college records were sealed. Why? The rumor was that it would show he attended as a foreign student, not to mention it might demonstrate that Bush made better grades (just as he had better grades than John Kerry and Al Gore). A birth certificate showing him to be born in Indonesia was produced. Its authenticity could not be proven, but it could not be disproven, either. The issue was used by his supporters as “proof” that the conservatives were nuts. In the months since, this issue has given way to substantive complaint of his policies, but to date no actual proof the “man” was born in Hawaii exists.
- In March Obama endorsed the use of aborted fetuses in stem cell research. This was in line with his party's general policy, which is to make use of all their emotional energy to make it as easy as possible for slutty women to suck live babies out of their wombs with a vacuum, then puncture their brains to insure death.
- Nancy Pelosi accused the CIA of torture, lying and cover-ups.
- Obama “bowed down” to his Muslim masters in the Middle East and followed that up by bowin' to the Japanese and doing turns on a prayer rug in Turkey.
- Obama nationalized Chrysler.
- Obama nominated Sonja Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. Her only qualification appeared to be womanhood, Latino ethnicity, and liberalism.
- In May Obama, who said America is no longer a Christian nation, canceled National Prayer Day.
- The “Tea Bag” movement began. Protestors said Obama was using propaganda tactics similar to Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany. The meda tried to make this out that the “tea baggers” were acting like Nazis. Millions made mental observation of this slander.
- Obama called the Boston Police “stupid” because they arrested a black professor breaking into his home.
- Finally, a chink in his armor appeared at baseball's All-Star Game in St. Louis. In the first half of the year, his popularity maintained sky-high ratings, but when he went on the field to throw out the first ball, he was booed on national TV. It was an incongruous sight and sound after a year-plus of total adulation, and the first small sign that he could have trouble ahead. Nobody could have predicted the swiftness of his descendancy after that, however. It did not help when his “pitch” delivering the first ball was as weak and feminine as any in the history of Presidential first-ball throws.

- In August Senator Kennedy died.
- ACORN was exposed as a criminal organization. Obama, who came up with them, and learned the Saul Alinsky tactics of “community organizing” with them, tried to distance himself from their illegalities.
- Obama's supporters, including Jimmy Carter, began to, of their own free will, state the lie that his detractors were racist. They knew it was not true. They said it anyway.
- National socialized health care legislation was proposed.
- In September Obama addressed the U.N. The uncomfortable fact that he was more popular in the world than at home began to make itself known.
- Obama claimed that his economic policies had succeeded, despite the fact that every piece of evidence proved him wrong. Millions made mental note of this.
- In October the criminal Obama “won” the Nobel Peace Prize. His nomination for the Nobel came within weeks of his January inauguration and he had accomplished zero in the months since. It served to mock him further when he traveled to Copehangen to lobby for the Olympics in Chicago and was turned down. Millions made mental not of this.
- The Obama Administration warned that swine flue would be an epidemic. It was a ploy to convince people that, without socialized medicine, we were doomed to a medical disaster. Non of it ever came close to happening.
- In November a homegrown Islamic Jihadist killed 13 soldiers, but Obama refused to call him a terrorist. It was an act of terror committed under his watch that Bush had prevented. America noticed.
- Obama failed to follow the advice of his military advisors in Afghanistan and ordered halfway measures putting more American boys in harm's way.
- Obama made a speech at West Point. The soldiers were falling asleep, and liberal commentator Chris Mathews called the U.S. Military Academy “enemy territory” for Obama. Millions of patriotic American citizens, uh . . . made note of this.
- While Democrats consider great young people in the military to be the “enemy,” Obama bonded with anti-American Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez. Communist genocidalist Fidel Castro expressed great admiration for Obama. These are not people you want to have as your friends, but the Democrats have always been the preferred party of criminals, anti-Americans, pornographers (Larry Flynt did their PR work for free) and Communists (one American returned from living in North Korea after 40 years in 1996 “to vote for Bill Clinton.”)
- Obama failed to attend ceremonies for D-Day, the fall of the Berlin Wall or Pearl Harbor, preferring instead trips to places like Copenhagen to honor himself. Instead of watching the returns when Democrats got killed in the November elections, he was glued to a documentary about his “greatness.”
- In December a “global warming summit” failed despite Obama's plea to achieve “something.” This on the heels of evidence the Left covered “global warming's” apparent lack of existence, which of course comes on the top of anecdotal knowledge by humans living on the planet that it lacks existence upon the crust of the Earth.
- Despite reams of evidence, Obama's government failed to stop a terrorist bomber from trying to blow up a plane. The reason? Political Correctness. Again, it was the kind of act Bush prevented but Obama did not, but luckily the bomb did not detonate.
- In January a huge earthquake hit Haiti. Obama's response was less impressive than Bush's during Hurricane Katrina.
- The Democrats attempted to ramrod socialized medicine on an American public that opposes it, 70-30. They attempted to bribe and buy votes, breaking numerous ethical laws. They tried to sneak everything past the public in the dark of night. Obama's campaign promise of transparency, of televizsed hearings on C-SPAN, was revelaed instead to be a lie.
- Obama's approval ratings head towards 40 percent, the fastest drop in the quickest amount of time in the history of polling. At this rate, he will be around 30 percent when voters go to the polls in November.
- As if by divine intervention, Kennedy's death and Brown's victory stops socialized medicine and harbingers Democrat disaster. America made mental note of this.

History also provides a guide to what is happening. Obama is swimming upstream anyway in that a first-year President usually loses in Congress, but the facts of the past 50 years are more starkly against him. The last time the Democrats sustained a series of electoral successes was the John Kennedy-Lyndon Johnson succession of 1960-64. In 1966 the Republicans swept to victory and continued this winning streak, culminating with Richard Nixon's 49-state sweep of 1972. Only the blip of Watergate saved the Democrats from the oblivion they will be facing in this decade.

In 1976 they thought they were the “winners of history” with Jimmy Carter and the Congress winning, but in 1978 California's Proposition 13 portended a 14-year GOP run encompassing Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush until 1992. Clinton's 1992 sweeps resembled Obama's in 2008. His 1994 repudiation resembled the current repudiation. The GOP succeeded in Congress and eventually the White House until 2006. The Democrats have never shown any staying power when it comes to electoral results, and there is zero evidence they are about to.

Perhaps Brother Camping is right and the Lord will indeed return on May 21, 2011. If so, none of this will much matter, and one could argue that in the larger scheme of things, Obama's failure matters none compared with the issue of Rapture and Salvation. However, there are many of us who think God indeed did shed His grace on thee; that he created and blessed this beautiful nation so that freedom and, ultimately, the chance to hear His word and be saved, could be made available to the largest number of the planet's population. As it says in Revelations, in the Final Days the saved shall be a figure “no man can number.” If so, then perhaps the Good Lord does care who runs God's Country. We ask not that he be on our side, but rather we pray that we be on His.

How Not to Feel Humiliated When Dining Alone

By: Heather Wagner

-If you’re single, travel for business, or just enjoy savoring a meal without small talk, you’ve probably had the experience of dining alone. This can be immensely pleasurable or incredibly daunting, depending on your temperament and overall approach. To ensure your next table-for-one adventure is as enjoyable as possible, BHG.com offers up these time-tested tips for dining alone.

For fine dining at home, try these delicious DIY bistro menu ideas from BHG.com.

1. Be Bookish. Always come armed with reading material. Having something to read not only keeps you from getting bored but also serves as a shield against waitstaff pity or unwanted conversational overtures from fellow patrons. Keep in mind that certain reading choices are better than others due to their portability and fold-ability (good: Sports Illustrated bad: War and Peace). In fact, frequent dining alone might be the real motivation for investing in a Kindle – although be wary of spilled beverages!

2. Try The Bar. For many would-be solo diners, the fear of being surrounded by lovey-dovey couples or raucous groups can be prohibitive. Requesting a seat at the bar is a good solution: Most restaurants will serve the full menu, bar seating is casual and low-profile, and you're likely to be surrounded by other content singletons.

3. Exude Confidence. Stride up to the host or hostess and proudly request your table. Never shrug or say, “just me” as though you’re apologizing. It takes guts to eat alone, and you should command the respect you deserve.

4. Eavesdrop. People in restaurants tend to be drinking, which often results in loud talking, over-sharing, bawdy jokes, or bitter marital brawls. Either way you can (discreetly) listen in on proximate tables and gain valuable insight into the human condition. Bonus points for detecting awkward first-time Internet dates.

5. Befriend Your Blackberry. Most of us are borderline addicted to checking our Blackberries or mobile phones. While it’s impolite to do this in the company of others, it's an absolutely acceptable activity when you’re dining alone: Reading the news, checking your Twitter feed, fondly reading old emails from loved ones, or scanning your secret crush’s Facebook page...the wireless possibilities are endless.

6. Go, Team! Even if you’re not terribly into sports, if there’s a game playing, become a fan for the evening. You’ll be surprised how an entranced gaze up at the screen now and then will give you a sense of purpose, as will a well-timed groan of defeat or hearty fist-pumping “Yes!”

7. Think Like A Food Critic. Pretend you are reviewing the restaurant. Observe the nuances of each course, take in the presentation, note the faults and strengths of the d̩cor and keep a sharp eye on the service. This puts you in a position of judgment Рalways empowering.

8. Life Is Short, Enjoy The Steak. Finally, remember to relax, enjoy yourself, and focus on the positives of solo dining. Just think: There will be no quibbling over who pays, no awkward pauses, and no drawn-out discussions about your companion's relationship or work problems. You really can be your own best dinner date.

Maguire, Raimi Out of "Spider-Man" Franchise

LOS ANGELES - Tobey Maguire's web-slinging days are behind him.

The 34-year-old actor and "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi will not be returning to the superhero franchise next year. Instead, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios announced Monday that a new "Spider-Man" film based on a script by James Vanderbilt that focuses on Peter Parker in high school would debut in the summer of 2012 with a new cast and filmmaking team.

"I am so proud of what we accomplished with the 'Spider-Man' franchise over the last decade," Maguire said in a statement Monday. "Beyond the films themselves, I have formed some deep and lasting friendships. I am excited to see the next chapter unfold in this incredible story."

The announcement of a reboot comes after reports that "Spider-Man 4" production stalled amid script revisions. The original "Spider-Man 4" release date seemed unlikely last week when Paramount Pictures announced that "Thor," another big-screen Marvel superhero adaptation, had hammered out the same May 6, 2011, release date as the fourth Spidey installment.

"Working on the 'Spider-Man' movies was the experience of a lifetime for me," Raimi, who directed all three "Spider-Man" films, also said in a statement Monday. "While we were looking forward to doing a fourth one together, the studio and Marvel have a unique opportunity to take the franchise in a new direction, and I know they will do a terrific job."

Maguire said in an interview last week that there was "great stuff in terms of story and script" for the fourth chapter and the plan was to still release the film in 2011. He also said he had specific ideas about the evolution of the character on the big screen.

"Thor" experienced its own upheaval over the weekend. Stuart Townsend departed the adaptation because of creative differences, according to two AP sources close to the production. Townsend, who had been cast as an ally of the Norse god, was replaced by Joshua Dallas.

The three "Spider-Man" films continually snared moviegoers, earning over $1.1 billion combined. After glowing reaction to the first two films, critical response to "Spider-Man 3" was so-so. Raimi said he was undecided about returning to the franchise after the third movie but later said he didn't like thinking about somebody else making the Peter Parker story.

Sony said it would have more news about the next "Spider-Man" movie in coming weeks.

One-child Policy Condemns 24m Bachelors to Life Without a Wife

by: Jane Macartney in Beijing

China’s “one couple, one child” family planning policy could leave more than 24 million men unable to find a bride by the end of the decade, a report says.

The country’s leading think-tank describes the gender imbalance among newborns as the most serious demographic problem facing China. The surplus of bachelors — known as “bare branches” — in the rural areas has been described by senior officials as a problem that could lead to a surge in crime and social instability, the ruling Communist Party’s greatest fear.

The report makes no bones about how the one-child policy — introduced to curb population growth and still in place in most circumstances — has led to a preference for boys. “Sex-specific abortions remained extremely commonplace, especially in rural areas,” the report, published by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said.

Officials acknowledged that the introduction of ultrasound scans in the 1980s resulted in a surge of abortions of female foetuses after parents tried to ensure that their only child was a boy who could carry on the family line. That tradition is important in a society where reverence of ancestors continues to underpin the social structure and where farmers want sons. “The problem is more serious in rural areas due to the lack of a social security system,” the report said. “Ageing farmers have to rely on their offspring.”

The normal birth ratio of 103-107 boys for every 100 girls began to shift in the 1980s. It rose from 108 boys in 1982 to 111 in 1990 and 116 a decade later. A report in the British Medical Journal last year by Therese Hesketh of University College London noted that two poorer, mainly rural provinces had the highest imbalances, with 140 boys for every 100 girls in the 1-to-4 age range. Dr Hesketh wrote: “Nothing can be done now to prevent this imminent generation of excess men.”

However, this report added that the national trend of gender imbalance had begun to slow since 2005, when it soared to 119 male births for every 100 female. One Chinese expert said that the rate had risen to 120.49 to 100 by the end of 2006, meaning that males born since 1980 would have outnumbered females born in the same period by 38 million at the end of 2008.

That China’s latest report continues to highlight the gravity of the situation serves to underscore how worried the leadership is over an issue that only a policy change, combined with nature and time, can solve. Some Chinese demographers hinted that it was time to shift from the family planning policy that has been credited with preventing 400 million births — which would, its backers claim, have swollen the population to unsustainable levels.

Abortion is legal and widely available. China bans tests to determine the gender of a foetus for non-medical reasons, but these are still carried out, mainly by underground clinics in rural areas. The law does not expressly prohibit or even define late-term termination of pregnancies.

Female infanticide is not uncommon, although rarely mentioned. Some families do not register the birth of daughters so that they can try legally for a son. In rural areas, farmers who have a daughter are now allowed to have a second child.

Despite these developments men in poverty-stricken regions will face the greatest difficulty in finding a wife after 2020, Wang Yuesheng, a researcher with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said.

Mr Wang said: “The chance of getting married will be rare if a man is more than 40 years old in the countryside. They will be more dependent on social security as they age and have fewer household resources to rely on.”

Obama says Anti-Terror "Buck" Stops with Him

By BEN FELLER, Associated Press Writer Ben Feller

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama declared Thursday "the buck stops with me" for the nation's security, taking responsibility for failures that led to the near-disastrous Christmas attack on a Detroit-bound airliner and vowing the problems would be corrected. He said the lapses were widespread but suggested no officials would be fired.

Obama didn't tell intelligence officials to dramatically change what they're doing. Instead, he told them to do it better, and faster. He left it to them to figure out how.

Clearly aware of the potential political fallout, Obama struck a tough tone toward the anti-terror fight, taking the rare step — for him — of calling it a "war."

In one concrete change, the administration is adding more air marshals to flights. Hundreds of law enforcement officers from Homeland Security Department agencies are being trained and deployed to the federal Air Marshal Service, said a government official familiar with the strategy.

There are more than 4,000 federal air marshals but many times that number for domestic and international flights each day.

In the president's bleak assessment and a White House-released report about what went wrong, the country got an alarming picture of a post-Sept. 11 debacle: an intelligence community that failed to understand what it had. U.S. intelligence officials had enough information to identify the suspect as an al-Qaida terrorist operative and keep him off a plane but still could not identify and disrupt the plot, and security measures didn't catch him, either.

Obama announced about a dozen changes designed to fix that, including new terror watch list guidelines, wider and quicker distribution of intelligence reports, stronger analysis of those reports, international partnerships and an interagency effort to develop next-generation airport screening technologies.

More inquiries are on the way.

"It is appalling that we have not learned from our mistakes, eight years after the worst terror attacks in our nation's history," said Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, which will hold its first hearing on the subject on Jan. 21, probably in private.

While Obama promised improved security, his solutions were laced with bureaucratic reshuffling.

Americans might be surprised that the government was not already taking some of the steps Obama ordered. For instance, he directed the intelligence community to begin assigning direct responsibility for following up leads on high-priority threats.

Obama himself hinted at the difficulties of improving intelligence and security against a terrorist network that devises new methods as fast or faster than the U.S. can come up with defenses.

"There is, of course, no foolproof solution," he said. "We have to stay one step ahead of a nimble adversary."

He spoke from the State Dining Room at the White House, his remarks delayed twice as officials scrambled to declassify a six-page summary of a report he'd ordered from top officials on the security failures. That summary was released immediately after he spoke, as was Obama's three-page directive to agency chiefs.

"When the system fails, it is my responsibility," Obama said.

The White House is anxious to resolve and move beyond the issue, which threatens to damage the president politically and distract further from his agenda.

Republicans have pointed to the attack and Obama's handling of it to criticize him as weak on national security — a perennial election-season charge against Democrats that has sometimes been effective in the past. His language Thursday was strong.

"We are at war, we are at war against al-Qaida," he said. "We will do whatever it takes to defeat them."

The unclassified summary stated that U.S. intelligence officials had received unspecified "discrete pieces of intelligence" to identify Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a 23-year-old Nigerian, as an al-Qaida operative and keep him off the flight from Amsterdam. Officials received fragments of information as early as October, according to the report.

Earlier Thursday, the administration said Abdulmutallab was flagged for extra screening after he was already on the plane and headed for Detroit. The Department of Homeland Security said his potential ties to extremists came up in a routine check of passengers en route to the U.S. — and not because of any suddenly gathered intelligence that emerged during the flight.

Although intelligence officials knew that an al-Qaida operative in Yemen posed a threat to U.S. security, they did not increase their focus on that threat and did not pull together fragments of data needed to foil the scheme, said the summary.

Still, the report concludes, "The watch listing system is not broken" and a reorganization of the nation's counterterrorism system is not necessary. The report, instead, calls for strengthening the process used to add suspected terrorists to watch lists.

According to the report, "a series of human errors" occurred, including a delay in the dissemination of a completed intelligence report and the failure of CIA and counterterrorism officers to search all available databases for information that could have been tied to Abdulmutallab.

Unlike the run-up to the 2001 terrorist attacks, intelligence officials did share information. But authorities didn't understand what they had.

The president seemed to settle the question of whom to blame by declaring that blame was shared by many.

"Now at this stage in the review process, it appears that this incident was not the fault of a single individual or organization, but rather a systemic failure across organizations and agencies," he said.

He ordered all involved agency heads to set up internal accountability units to review efforts to make changes. "We will measure progress," he said.

Underscoring Obama's assertion that no one individual was responsible for failing to thwart the attack, the administration's report noted that Abdulmutallab's name was misspelled in one instance, leading the State Department to conclude he did not have a valid U.S. visa — when in fact he did. Even so, the report said steps to revoke his visa could have occurred only if other intelligence information had been coordinated and he was placed on a more restrictive watch list.

Abdulmutallab was indicted Wednesday on charges of attempted murder and other crimes in the airline incident.

Meanwhile on Thursday, many airlines were re-briefing employees on security procedures, from baggage handlers to pilots.

"Everybody is being reminded of what the rules of the road are," said Jack Casey, an aviation safety consultant in Washington.

There's a limit, though, to how much airlines can do on their own, said Casey, a former airline pilot. "They're waiting for better guidance from everybody in government over this whole issue of profiling and the issue of privacy. That's a big gray area."

Thrill Remains with Nike, but Adds Adidas

by: ThrillFan#39

The American warrior, THRILL, has just signed with Adidas. After months of considering the deal, THRILL added the Adidas endorsement.

For the last year, it was speculated that THRILL would resign his contract with Nike and move completely over to Adidas. This seemed like a rare event, especially since THRILL takes his shoes seriously when it comes to sports. It was known that Nike was the preferred brand of choice when it came to basketball shoes, but as far as the casual dress contract, that area remained opened.

Nike had there mark in two areas of THRILL's Preferred Shoe Wear: Basketball Shoes and Sneakers for Combat Environments. But as far as Regular/Casual Shoe Wear, there was not any company who held the category. For the longest time, Reebok was preferred for the Regular Wear Shoe of THRILL but even they did not have the claim.

THRILL made it very clear at a recent press conference that Nike would supply the shoes for OnFire Basketball and all indoor basketball games. The slot for Regular Shoe Wear remained opened.

Finally, with the turn of the new year, THRILL allows Adidas to supply the shoes for his everyday Regular Shoe Wear but promises Nike will remain the supplier for Basketball Shoes and Sneakers for Combat Environments.

"Nike is a superior brand." says THRILL, "When it comes to comfort and support, strenght and secured traction, I prefer wear Nike shoes. I won't make a lay-up or jumpshot with any other brand. Also, in the event of the next civil or world war, Nike will be the shoe I will sport when I'm running through a bombarded city street wielding my assault rifle."
